Hi all,
My son has just turned 8 months old. He has always loved taking his bottles for the past while his routine has looked like this. Bare in mind he hasn't been a great sleeper so he is sleeping later in the mornings:
Bottle; 9am
Breakfast with solids; 11am
Lunch with solids; 1.30pm
Bottle;4.30pm
Dinner with solids; 6.30pm
Last bottle; 8.30/9pm

He takes 8oz bottles and recently the past week he has been refusing to take some milk maybe leaving 2 or 3 ounces in every other bottle. Should I be concerned?

Is he still having around 20oz?
Milk in cereal and dairy products count towards their intake too

Yeah he usually is taking around 20oz per day or maybe a bit less with his bottles, he would get whole cows milk in his cereal usually in the morning also

You could try reducing portions if he’s not making up his milk allowance in solids, but I would just try to add a cup or so of extra whole milk or the equivalent in cheese / natural yoghurt into his diet.

Urgh my 7.5 month old is a milk refuser, but only during the day. He'll happily take his milk for his 1st bottle and his last bottle. Its the 2 in the day that hes not that interested in. Ive started making his porridge with it, putting it in mashed potato etc etc. One way or another I get it into him 😂

I actually think its natural for them to become less interested in it once started on solids. Healthy even, given its what you want later on down the line. My opinion is that its just these tricky few months before they're 1 that we have to battle through before we can do away with the problem all together!
