My ex is in the Netherlands and has no interest in his 1 year old daughter. I put pressure on him and he agreed to pay towards her upbringing but has only paid the bare minimum starting last month. He is not struggling, has a relatively good job and I am broke. I want to go to the child support agency but have heard from many others that it is useless. Is it worth trying? I am worried to lose what little money he does send as I do need it. Has anyone else got any experience with this situation?

To add, i am concerned that if he does pay more, he will then decide that he wants to see her and expect to have holidays with her, custody rights etc

He already has the right to all of that, and more importantly it is your daughter's right to have those things too.

I'm not arguing that. Sorry my English isn't the best. what I meant to say is-. I don't mind if he sees her or visits but he's never shown any interest, hasn't even asked about her once, so if he wanted her to go to see him eventually for an extended period without even knowing her or putting effort into their relationship, that'd be ... not great

You want to look into something called a Remo they deal with csa abroad but not in all countries. As technically he can get away without paying a penny unless Remo can step in and help. They make sure it's a fair amount which is dictated by the country he is in.
