There is a great car seat Facebook page called car safety UK - have a ready of their pinned post. Unless you have an unusual short child something like the axkid minikid is good. Ideally you want them rear facing for as long as possible.

Depending on where you are located, there’s a great shop called in car safety centre (they are also online). They have loads of good advice and you can try the seats in your car. We got a joie I-spin 360 in the end, it’s really good. We did have a maxi cosi axiss fix before that but found even in the reclined position, it was too upright and DD head was flopping forwards when she fell asleep Confused

We got a Coasatto Come and Go i-Rotate (very much like the Joie i-spin) when it was on offer, which will last until she's about 4 years old.

It's brilliant - I wouldn't want a car seat that didn't rotate now. It's so easy for getting in and out of the car.

Another vote for Joie 360

we have the joie 360 and the cybex sirona s. I'd recommend either of those!

It's worth considering your child's percentile. A high percentile child your better off getting an extended rear facing car seat, one that goes up to 25kg such as a kid mini kid or britax max way plus. If low percentile you'll probably get away with car seat that rear faces until 18kg.

Go for a 360 degree car seat. Bought one recently and it's much easier on the old back and much less awkward getting dd in too esp if you can't open the door fully for whatever reason
