Meeting other mums online and helping each other

Hi fellow mums,
I am drawing my come back from maternity leave plans, and the largest obstacle seems to be closing times of the nurseries- very tricky to get back from work on time. It would be so much easier if we could take turn with other mums collecting kids. But trying to find a companion is likely to be a nightmare for an introvert like me, especially in modern social-distant times. Same goes for playdates.
Do you ever find people online to help each other with pick-ups drop-offs or arrange kids to play together (whether it's for young children or a bit older)? If yes ,what media do you use? Would you have more safety concerns if you met someone online than in person (of course I would double check that this person is indeed a parent of another child in the same nursery/ school as mine)
I guess this question is more relevant for normal times than for lockdown, but still keen to know your thoughts
