3 week old seems irritated

Can anyone tell me if this is normal

My 3 week old never seems settled - always moving, waving arms, pulling irritated faces and often very red.

While sleeping he wriggles a lot and breathes really fast - quite noisily.

I don't know if this is just regular - mw said all was fine but she didn't even touch the baby and that was about 2 weeks ago.

Hi there . My baby was the same in the very early stages, thinks improved after 6 weeks . I know that newborns breath fast. More experienced mummies may be able to give some more advice, but if you are worried ring the GP even if its just for piece of mind. I think grunting sounds are what you need to look out for regarding breathing
