Dropping milk feeds

Looking for advice on dropping milk feeds..

My DS is almost 10 months and still having four 8 ounce bottles of milk a day alongside 3 meals. Should he be reducing to 3 by now? He drinks all his milk and eats very well, although doesn't have much interest in dinner.

His current schedule is:
9am - milk
10am - breakfast
12:30pm - milk
1:30pm - lunch
5pm - milk
6:15pm - dinner
8pm - milk

Is it worth only giving half a bottle before dinner so he has room for solids? (he wakes very hungry from his nap so going straight to dinner could be a challenge)

TIA and hope it all makes sense!

At the moment main source of nutrition should still be milk. When he is 12 months and you start offering snacks and using a sippy cup for milk rather than a bottle he will probably reduce the amount of milk he has.

I'd give a snack at 3.30-4ish (or after his nap) and loose that 5pm bottle especially if he's not eating much dinner. As you head towards the 12 month mark I'd rather be upping food intake rather than sticking with milk especially if he's having the recommended amount anyway.
