9 mo feeds thrive at night

Hi,
Need help. My dc is 9 month old and wakes up thrive at night for feeds. If i am not there she cries blue murder and won't settle with anyone except me. Sue is a very very light sleeper n will wake up at the slightest sound like turning a page or clearing throat. I think she needs comfort feeds but then it's very restrictive for me and she washed the whole house up with her screams n carried on the middle of the night. She sleeps for an hour around 10 then about half an hour at 2.30 and then sometimes another half hour at 5. I am thinking of cutting off her 5 O'clock nap so she has deeper sleep n reduces her feed.

Please advice.

Thrice* on the subject. I am clearly sleep deprived

She might still need one or two feeds. I spoke to my health visitor recently about my ten month old baby (doing her one year review early). She said that as she is eating regular food well with three meals a day,
she probably only needs one or two milk feeds a night now. After that my husband could go in with water (as I breast feed so it could cause confusion/annoyance if I offer water).

Perhaps you could check with your HV and see if she thinks the water idea might work for you. It might depend on how well your little one has taken to weaning.

Both of my ds's were like this at the same age.
Try to feed as much as you can during the day and also give them a bowl of porridge before bed!

@Debradoyourecall- thanks for your response. I haven't seen or heard from my health visitor since she made her one and only visit, the day after my baby was born. I will try and see if I can get in touch with the HV.
@sherryshelidan- thanks I will try to give her porridge before bed but since she usually has her dinner an hour or hour am half before bed time i doubt she would bee hungry but will definitely try. Thanks again.

None of my four babies have ever stopped needing a feed until after one. My fourteen month old still has at least two feeds (breastfed) in the night, and probably helps herself much more than I realise

@coffeeandgin26 thanks that helps.. Smile I was thinking she should be sleeping through the night.

Neither of my boys slept through the night until they were three. I night weaned at about 2 and a bit. I would just go with it for now! The porridge before bed worked for me when I did night wean as I knew there's no way they could be hungry!
