Mamia nappies

Hi all. I have a 5month old & have been using the aldi mamia premium nappies which I found to be amazing. I have searched high&low for size 5+ and above in premium but have been unable to find them despite the store saying constantly they’re out of stock. I now believe premium do not exist in sizes beyond 5 and the “normal mamia ones” do.
Has anyone had a similar experience? If so, what brand did you change to if any?
Any recommendations are most welcome. Thank you.

My store only seems to stock up to size 3 in premium 😭
Been using morrisons nappies and found them good, found asda arent good enough for our 4 month old to go through the night in, she leaks by 6am without a change. They are a similar price to Aldi I believe also.
We have the standard aldi mamia nappies at home, but I've not tried these yet, but was all I could get since everybody has decided to stockpile nappies 🤦‍♀️ x

Thank you for your reply. I have and am using the standard mamia in 5+ and they seem ok. Not as good as the premium and we’ve had one huge leak but they’re ok. They seem on the thinner side in comparison. . I’ll try the Morrison’s ones and see how we go.

A 5 month old in 5+?! My two year old is in 5! I'd be surprised if you need them that big. Anyway I've always used the normal mamia nappies (3 kids) and they're fab. Never had a leak!

I was going echo the 5+ for a 5 month old? My DS was in 5 when he was 3 as we potty trained him! My 14 months old is in 4+!

Changedmynameagain1 · 04/11/2020 08:00

Also not seen then premium ones in 5+ In our Aldi either

Findahouse21 · 04/11/2020 08:00

Lidl are good for us - they do plus sizes too. Dd is 10m and between a 3 and 4.

shipperssss · 04/11/2020 08:05

The Aldi website states they only do 4 & 5 in certain stores, nothing about 5+ at all. So guessing they don't do them.

We used Lidl own and loved them!

Why would a 5 month old need 5+?! Have you sized up multiple times for a reason op?

My 2yo and most of his friends are in size 4 maybe 5 at a push

Every baby is different and Aldi are bloody small in comparison. Tesco's nappies are really good. My dinky one year old is in a size 5.

That’s crazy- my 15 month old is and was a big baby at nearly 10lb when born, he is just in the size 5 mamia nappies now- I think you must need a refresh on how nappies are meant to fit?

PolytheneHam · 04/11/2020 08:32

Are you sure you need that size? My massive ten month old DS is in 4+ Aldi premium nappies, and they're suitable up to 44lbs according to the packet!

HT71 · 04/11/2020 09:05

Hmm. Maybe I’ll look at them again. I went to 5+ as there was a huge gap between the sticker parts and there were red lines across his inner thighs hence why I thought to move up a size.

Each baby is different with regards to size. At 5 months by little one moved from 3 to a 4. He is now in 5 and has been since 9 months. We’ve never had any leaks.

I could have written this.

Exactly this!

Thank you. Maybe you need to refresh how you come across & consider there are multiple reasons as to why a parent is asking a q and they may not feel entirely comfortable revealing every bit of information as to why their child requires a bigger sized nappy & doesn’t feel the need to justify this & simply asked if anyone is aware of whether or not premium nappies are available. This does not make it crazy.

My 6 month old is wearing a size 4 which is pretty snug around her belly and thighs so am looking at moving up a size. She’s on the 98th percentile for weight and height and is healthy according to doctor/hv. Just she’s larger that the average baby.

Every baby is different and it’s awful to compare and make a mother worry about whether her baby is within a so called average range.

Every baby is different and grows at different rates.

Bellaphant · 04/11/2020 20:09

My baby was nearly 10lb too, he was in size three by about 3 months, then four til about nine months and we are just starting to think about size six at 15 months.

I use mamia, but not the premium, and only had leaks when we needed to go up a size!
