Puddle suit for three year old??

Sorry, wasn't sure where to put this!! Not exactly style and beauty!!!

Anyone got any recommendations for a puddle suit for a three year old? I've had a look and a lot of them either only go up to 2-3 or cost an absolute bomb... the legs on dd's 2-3 Jojo pack away one are now starting to look like cropped trousers...

Not fussed on colour or whatever, as long as it will keep her dry and her clothes relatively mud free. Oh and preferably that doesn't require me to remortgage the house...

Look on eBay for new ones from Regatta, Trespass etc - £12-15 or so.

SnugglySnerd · 01/11/2020 22:01

Lidl had them in the middle aisle last week.

As above I got one from ebay age 4-5 regatta and it arrived really quickly

Muddy Puddles. They come up big and last ages! I think I bought 18-24 month size for DS and it was massive on him at 18 months, he wore it the next autumn-winter aged 2.5-3, and he even wore it a few times recently aged 3.5 but I decided to retire it as it's too short now. I've just replaced it with waterproof trousers from Polarn o Pyret that he can wear under his usual coat. Oh and his winter coat is from Muddy Puddles too. Lovely quality.

Could try local selling sites for second hand but mine was only 15 new

Lou573 · 01/11/2020 22:05

I always found separate waterproof trousers and jacket much easier from potty training stage! Have always liked the muddy puddles ones though.

i got my little girl one from matalan. i’m pretty sure they go up to age 6.

I bought my 15 month old a snow suit which is water repellent from H&M. I thought with the winter a puddle suit won't be warm enough for him.
Matalan do a few puddle suits.

This is the one I got and it is lovely and warm with reflective strips.

The Lidl ones are great - waterproof and a good price, they still had some in my local store today so it might be worth having a look.
I would go for separates rather than an all in one for a three year old, easier for toilet trips and more versatile.

I bought a fleece lined puddle suit from Sainsbury's and they went up to age 6. There is only a bright orange zog one available online but there might be more of them in-store if you don't fancy it. It is very bright!

trebleclef101 · 01/11/2020 22:14

DD age 5 has one from Matalan, wasn't very expensive.

whoami24601 · 01/11/2020 22:20

I have a Campri one from sports direct for DD and DS has a mountain warehouse one. Both totally waterproof and warm!

Snozwanger · 01/11/2020 22:24

I got a Regatta fleece lined puddle suit on eBay for £3.20. I was looking at the exact same one new and I'm sure they were around £20.

We also have one of these bought in the Debenhams sales was about £15 and it's brilliant!
AnneShirleysNewDress · 01/11/2020 22:31

Regatta fleece lined one here too. Keeps DD cosy and try.

I got my DD some from Lidl the other day waterproof trousers, but they also had the dungaree trousers and the all in ones, they're lined and only cost £5.99, was impressed with them .
