Probiotics for baby?

Probiotics question.
I’m listening to The Gentle Sleep Book and she’s talking about how babies benefit from probiotics if they’re born by c-section, have antibiotics or are formula fed. My little one scores 3 for 3 on that list - EMCS, we both needed AV antibiotics for days after the birth and I wasn’t able to breastfeed. Nobody mentioned probiotics to me and I never really thought about it to be honest.

She’s 13 weeks now, the happiest and most
contented little thing, poos every day or sometimes every other day but never seems to bother her, pretty good at getting her wind up, a bit sicky but not excessive I don’t think, struggles with daytime naps at the moment but sleeps really well at night.

My question is is it worth giving her probiotics now? Is it too late to negate whatever ‘harm’ the c section and antibiotics are supposed to have done at birth? Should I do it anyway because I formula feed, for how long?

Is it based on hard science or is it a bit woo? If they were so important wouldn’t a healthcare professional have told me to use them at some point? Or have I massively let my baby down by not having given her them
up to now?

My DD has cmpa and probiotics help.
It won't do your DD any harm. Make sure you get one that's okay for babies (we use biogaia drops as they're dairy free).
