My baby boy 9 months old has pink eye on the left side of white of the left eye since two days now, and slight pink in the right side of the right eye as well.
My baby has a habit of rubbing his eyes a lot . Is that the reason, baby seems not to be bothered by it much. The fact that pinkiness is more towards the outer edges of eyes rather than inside could it be due to his rubbing habit ?
still I am thinking of taking him to paeditrician tomorrow. does it sound concerning ?

Call your HV, and text them pictures. Is he at nursery?

Are you in the U.K?
Pink eye is not really a thing here. Do you mean conjunctivitis?
In the U.K. we would normally see a GP an be referred to a paediatrician if needed but not for something like conjunctivitis.

@Thatwentbadly are you implying conjuctivits is not much of a concern ?

If you do mean conjunctivities, it can initially be treated with breast milk saline drops or cooled boiled water, using separate cotton pads to wipe each eye. If it persists you may need antibiotic drops but many cases are viral. How old is your baby?

@Ohalrightthen I called my paed, she said watch for 5 days, if it persists then consult with an eye doctor. I am surprised she didn't say come to me

@LIZS my baby is almost nine months old now. We had been prescribed Toba eye drops but The additional problems is putting eye drops in his eyes. Hes not cooperative at all. which is frustrating really

At 9 months conjunctivitis isn’t a huge concern if it only lasts a few day. It normally clears up by itself.

Here is the U.K. advice on it

Try putting the drops in whilst baby is sleeping and eyes are closed. A wee drop in the corner of their eye, whilst closed, often makes them blink and then it's in.
