Please help.

My first assignment for k100 is due on the 25th and I have no idea how to write it. Everything I write down sounds stupid and cluttered.

Are you supposed to put the essay question at the top of the assignment also?

Yes, put the essay title at the top and remember your name, number goes on every page.

How I start my essays,

Note down the points I'd like to make, regardless of order. Keep referring bcak to the question to make sure you don't go off track.

Expand each point into a paragraph.
Once you've got a few paragraphs with various points some should naturally lead on from each other...

Try to to start each paragraph with a punchy sentence about what the paragraph is about. When you've finished this idea, move onto a new paragraph.

Expand this idea and you will have a sort of essay. Write the intro, conclusion.

Just write what you know (you know you know stuff!) and work out orders/spelling/grammer later etc.

Good luck!!

Thanks, I'm also wondering if someone used to writting assignments would be able to read mine through before I send it off? or would that not be allowed? It's just with it being my first one (and first ever uni course) thats making me so nervous and worried.

k100 is understanding health and social care.

I always get my friend who was an editor to look over my assignments. She doesn't alter content as she wouldn't know if I was right or wrong anyway! But she does offer advice on spelling/grammer.
I went to uni with her and she did the same for all our big assignments.
