Not sure if it's just my dc or the age they are at but they are really being hard work.
I've tried days out and they end in them fighting and bickering. It gets to the point I don't know why I bothered. It's not enjoyable for anyone.
We've had rest days where we just do stuff at home and that ends just as badly.
I am at the point where I can't wait for them to be back at school. I never, ever thought I would say that as I've always looked forward to the holidays and having them home 
It doesn't help that I caught I glimpse of myself in a mirror today and I look so tired and run down.
