Yesterday dh was stressing a bit about money once the new baby gets here and i reassured him that the baby shouldn't actually cost us anything to begin with as we already have everything from dd, are bound to be given clothes etc and won't need to be buying nappies etc.
He then started asking about friends of ours, and whether they use washables at all, which worried me slightly as he has always seemed to go along with me using washables but not really seen the point or liked them and i've always thought that given the chance he would prefer to use disposables. I told him that no, they just use disposables and to my surprise he was outraged! he kept saying "What, they don't use them at all? Why not?" and then threw in a few nappy facts he'd read on the internet, saying that in his opinion disposables would soon have to be made illegal and the sooner the better!
He also said that he had found them a hassle to begin with cos he just hadn't known how to use them and had found it difficult to remember which ones needed seperate wraps etc as well as the different ways of doing them up but that now he has changed more nappies he is more used to them and doesn't really find them any more difficult.
I am so impressed!
