Toddler not eating. Is this ok/normal?

Son just turned 2. He loves his food but whenever he is teething (his molars are coming through) he doesn't eat. He's been teething for the past week and I give him nurofen and Calpol. It helps him at night, but during the day he just hasn't been eating. He literally eats a few tiny bites at breakfast, ignores his lunch, eats a few soft snacks and doesn't really want his dinner (just plays with it). He seems to have eaten the most tiny amount of food this week and just keeps saying 'my teeth, ow' and crying. I'm worried he's hardly eaten anything the past week and just wants breast milk. Thankfully he's drinking a lot. Is this normal/OK?

Sounds like his teeth are really hurting! Anesbol liquid is good for popping on sore gums. I wouldn't worry too much and just keep offering - things like yogurt might be a good try if you haven't already.

Ah, what a shame. Agree with pp about trying things like yogurt which don't need chewing. I also tend to offer the favourites when teething is an issue. Bread, cheese, macaroni cheese, yogurt, etc. But, I'm sure they'll get through it soon.
