Why does a baby have green stools over the age of one month? I have been asked this question in my course work, can anyone help?

I think it's something to do with the maturation of their gut. I remember DS had funny coloured darker stools around wk 8, but then went back to bright orange poo after a few days.

Thanks for that. I have a ten month old and remember he had green poos quite often. I was told a long time ago that green poos could be a sign of dehydration but I dont think this was the case with my baby.
