Eight month old milk intake

Hi all. My baby has just turned 8 months and for the last few weeks he’s become really unpredictable with his milk intake. He had a cold and that’s when it changed, but he’s fine now and this has stayed the same. He used to take 7oz every 2-3 hours during the day and one through the night. I was worried he wasn’t getting enough for his vitamins so I tracked it over the last 24 hours. He clearly is getting enough but I make him 7oz every time and as you can see he doesn’t take it, so it’s a waste. What are you doing for yours? Would you recommend offering less bottles? 🤷‍♀️

1 AM - 7oz
7 AM - 1oz
8 AM - Breakfast (Redy Brek / whole milk)
10AM 1 2oz
1 PM - 4oz
2 PM - Lunch ( 4/5 ice cubes)
5PM - 5oz
5:30 PM - Dinner (3 ice cubes)
7:30PM - 4oz
10PM - 2oz
6AM - 3oz

I'd stop giving so many bottles
At that age mine had 4 days feeds and 1 overnight (the overnight one stopped around now)
Milk - 7, 11, 3, 7 + night
Food 8, 12, 5

I would maybe start gradually educing the feed in the night ti encourage more daytime feeding. Offer milk every 4 hours between food and if they want less milk in the daytime bottles then make them smaller e.g morning and bedtime 7oz, daytime feeds 5oz.

Around 20oz is recommended for that age

Perfect, thank you. It just feels a bit all over the place at the moment and it’s very unpredictable! Those timings really help - I’ll give it a go.

Mine had the same routine as @dementedpixie mentioned above at that age. I'd try dropping the night feeds and giving bigger bottles less often during the day.

Interestingly at about 10 months DS had a bad cold and completely went off his milk one day and wouldn't touch a bottle from then on! Just went to 3 meals and a couple of snacks a day from 10.5 months.

My son has turned 8 months todsy and he has the exact same schedule as @dementedpixie. Trying to plan a day out around weaning and feeding is a nightmare x
