Baby grabbing stuff from toddler

Hi all so I have 1 year old and 3 year old
And I tried to Google it to see if anything pops up but all I get is toddler grabbing from baby which is not the case here.
Baby just keeps grabbing stuff from toddler
Constantly no matter how much I tell him not to move him distract him separate him it constantly happens. I gave them both a snack and went to kitchen to make a cup of tea (kitchen right next to living room with big open door)
In the time it took to make a cup I had to run back 3 times to get baby off toddler coz he was trying to take off snack from toddler. In the evening at dinner time I have to listen to baby crying because he wants to come out of high chair when done but because toddler takes bit longer to eat I cant otherwise he will try to climb toddler grab his plate etc
He can reach the table and even if I'm right next to him I have to constantly fight the baby and again more screaming

Any tips on getting the younger one to stop this? It's been going on for weeks but nothing seems to work on getting him to stop it

He’s 1???

. I doubt that he understands. Its just a game and being curious. Give him something to play with instead as a distraction.

I know he doesn't really understand that's why I'm asking what else can be done
I have tried distractions with toys cuddling him didn't work unfortunately :(

My 1 yo is exactly like this only with me. The only thing that works is to keep offering him food while I finish eating - he’ll eat or play with it while waiting.

A 1 year old will not be able to comprehend this. He is too young to understand and in his head just sees the toy and wants it - it's an impulse, not a thought through decision. I wouldn't expect him to not grab it to be honest. There's not a lot you can do I do think other than give him a different toy.

I mean... he’s 1 If you’re going into the kitchen, however near it is, take him with you? That way the toddler can eat their snack in peace and you’re properly supervising the baby. At this age, he has no idea how to regulate his own behaviours so you have to do it for him.
