How long can you give calpol for? I know no more than 4 times in 24 hours, but it says if you are giving for longer than 3 days contact gp. 5mo ds has been teething for a few days and is in a lot of pain without it, how many consecutive days can he have it?
Thank you x

If theory still 3 days. Maybe speak to a pharmacist.

Btw nurofen is before than calpol for teething and you can also give anbesol liquid too.

QuestionableMouse · 20/10/2020 16:15

Our GP is happy for it to be given for up to seven days for teething pain as long as you don't go over the dose on the bottle.

Piggy back nurofen and calpol of it is actually teething pain.

The bottle says 3 days, so 3 says. Speak to the GP

@doireallyneedaname thank you for relaying the back of the bottle. I wondered what other gps had said. Bit unhelpful and unnecessary

Bought some nurofen thanks all 💙

You're welcome. I'd suggest checking with your own GP just in case though. 😊
