Bell on bedroom door?

Were moving to a 3 storey house so our bedroom is now top floor rather than opposite 7 year old dd's. She sometimes comes in in middle of the night (super annoying i know) anyway we dont to put lock on door as it seems a bit harsh and i dont want her to feel we are not accessible, but equally do not want to potentially scar her if she see's something she shouldnt.

As its a loft room the bedroom door is on the 2nd floor then you go up the stairs to our floor so the door is further away from us, im thinking to put a bell on it so we can hear if she comes up? Or is there a better alternative?

Hmmm a baby monitor so that you can whet if she is coming up??

DuesToTheDirt · 19/10/2020 21:15

Why can't she just be asked to knock and wait for an answer?

@DuesToTheDirt Yes she absolutely should, and to be fair she does sometimes but not in the middle of night when half asleep.

Issue is where the door is all the way down the stairs its harder to hear especially with tv on.

So the monitor was a good shout.

So cant wait for this stage to be grown out of
