Hey,

Just wondered if anyone had taken there baby swimming during Covid. How did you deal with not been able to use changing rooms?

Thanks

We have a pool in our development and no changing rooms but it's literally a lift ride so was not an issue.

I changed before swim and changed after. You could change in the car if needed just before/after? Depends on what nappies you use, we use reusables so makes this slightly easier (I guess?).

I am also lucky as the little one does not poo in the pool so I don't have to worry about having to change him whilst swimming (but the pool manager advised we can change poolside if we do need).

We’ve been doing lessons and although the changing rooms are closed they have provided little individual tents to change in after, but they are small and hot so we are inevitably still damp so dry properly and change again once home.

Me/DH go swim ready under our clothes and change DS by the side of the pool before class.

Check with your local pool/leisure centre as where we live changing rooms are open, you’re just allocated a locker and a changing room number when you book. We’ve been a couple of times now and I was impressed with how well organised it was. The session was capped to a certain number of people so it wasn’t crowded and everything is thoroughly cleaned down in between sessions.

I take my 7 month old DD swimming every week and both pools we've been to in my area have changing rooms open. They just clean after every session.

Perhaps check your local pools and see what their guidelines are? Ours say to come ready for swimming but they still provide space to change.
