Friends daughter is turning 2 soon, very soon and have no idea what to buy her. My children are older and I’m really stuck for ideas! What are your two year olds into?
TIA (:

My DD is 2 next month and has just started liking dolls and accessories for them. She also loves play dough, drawing, stickers, stickle bricks and large Lego. She also loves cars and garages and recent car race track with battery operated cars that go round was a big hit, although she enjoys breaking it up as much as she enjoys building it!

My 2 year old loves playdoh, and anything they can play pretend with such as dolls, figures, cars and animal toys

Pip & Posy books, Julia Donaldson books. accessories to play with play doh (or a kit from a company like organised chaos with kids for lovely themed ones), puzzles (numbers & shapes). A wooden baking set with mixer & ingredients, wooden fruit & veg to cut open. In fact Aldi have just released a load of toys online today which would suit that sort of age group.

Books.

Sticker books

As a parents, please avoid things with lots of bits that take ages to put away!

Duplo. Though it's a fucker as a parent, they looove it.
Other than that mine love playdough, crayons/paints etc etc.
A toy kitchen, depending in your budget.

Pretend food is a big hit here with DS and any visiting children. While wooden fruit and veg is available, they all loved play with wooden ice creams and cakes!

Play Doh sets with pretend food accessories also universally popular.

Trying to remember what my daughter used to play with when she was that age, Play Doh would entertain her for hours. The sets that come with the accessories like rolling pin and cookie cutters etc x
