What time would you start bedtime routine for a four month old baby? I've been starting at 7pm but I'm starting to think it's a bit late?

Why too late? Its only late if your baby gets over tired. If your babies fine and its working for the family, then id stick with it

I usually started about 6:30. It was bath feed bed.

Some days he's happy until 7pm, others he's worn out at 6.30. It doesn't help we haven't established any kind of day time routine either I suppose. x

Honestly id just keep it flexible. My son is usually in bed for 6.30. Some days its 7, sometimes its earlier.

I’d focus more on awake windows. Work out the max awake window and time it from the last nap that day. It night shift around by 30/45 mins but that’s fine. I think mine was around 2-2.5 hours from last nap. Almost always in bed by 7pm at that age, so often starting routing around 6.15/6.30pm.

Sleep is an individual. Our younger one fell asleep at 7 pm, while the older one could stay until 2 pm. The sleep of the baby depends on the air temperature, the level of tiring during the day, even the weather. So don't worry much.
