9 week old baby 7oz bottles

Hi!

Just after some advice. My little girl is 9 weeks old, at 7 weeks she was 11lb 10oz so she's a good healthy weight and following just below the 75th percentile.

She's been on 6oz bottles every 3 hours but she's now wanting 7oz bottles but she's going 4 hours in between feeds, does this matter?

Her feeds are currently 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm with her sometimes wanting a last feed at 10/11 but not always. So she's getting between 28oz and 35oz which I think is inline with the guidelines. Does this sound ok?

Thanks :)

As long as you're feeding her what she wants and shes gaining weight, sounds like you're doing a great job 🙂

Snap! My guy is the same... I'm njust going to make up 7oz and see how he does. Past couple of days he's draining 6oz every 3/4 hours. He's 9 weeks as well and a hungry hungry baby. The hungry formula didn't agree with him. Hear like his mum 🥰

Wow... my DD is 3 months now, born 6 weeks premmie and goes 3-4 hours on 140ml (about 4.5oz). About the same weight now as your little one was at 7 weeks OP. DH and I would so love if our daughter dropped her middle of the night feed (sometime between 3-5am) - how much was your baby taking in her last feed when she started sleeping through?

Thank you @Letsallscreamatthesistene! :) she seems really happy with her feeds so I'll just let her take the lead!

@LongJohnGlitter glad to hear someone else in the same situation. My friends little girl was 8lb 6oz born and is now 15 weeks and still on 5oz bottles so I was worrying my LG was getting too much!

@BGDino it's crazy how different babies can be isn't it! Up until the last week or so she was sleeping 10/11-4am and now it's 10/11-7 but when she first started sleeping till 7 she was on 6oz bottles. She's just started taking 7oz since about Thursday

Wow! I think my boy was on 4oz every 3 hours at that age, he was on the 10th centile though so perhaps needed less :)

All babies are so different!

@Something20 wow yours is sleeping that much...I am exhausted from trying to get my guy into his cot!

My eldest was like this, he loved his milk. I used to panic that he would be obese but he's 5 now and built like a stick so that never happened!

My other two children never had more than 5oz ever though, so they all vary. My little girl is 11 months and never got past the mini Dr Brown bottles because she only every had about 3oz at a time! All healthy weights though, so don't worry, every baby has a different appetite and if you were breastfeeding you would never know if they were having a certain amount.
