Have to stay at mums' for 2 months, baby is 9 months. Options:

  1. Cheap ish cot (pros- more space for her, has a drop side so won't break my back. Cons- takes up more space in house, more pricy, have to build, will have to sell after a few months of use)
  1. Travel cot, maybe with extra mattress to make it more comfy (pros- cheapest, portable, space saving, can even take with me to next home. Cons- have a tall baby, although they're up to 15kg, she's used to a cot bed- will she struggle to sleep or get used to it, she turns over and moves quite a bit in cot bed! ). Also.. Are these safe for long term use, in my case a few months... website q and A section says yes.

Thoughts really really appreciated please x

I would say a travel cot. I purchased a hauck one, its bigger than a standard travel cot at 120cm x 60cm and I bought a thicker mattress for it. All in came to £52. We use this for when my LB is staying with family. He sleeps amazing in it and the mess sides r actually better as he loves to knock himself off of the side of the cot during the night when moving.

Great to use as a play pen too during the day x

Travel cot. We used one as main bed for 8 months with proper mattress. It was fine.

@Mummyofmay2020
Yes that is the one! I am sure I got a discount code on a different website so took it to £32. The mattress u got from amazon.

Fine lowering him in, the sides aren't super tall but my LB sleeps in a grobag which prevents him from being able to climb out. I would absolutely recommend it. Super easy to put up and down too. X
