Night time nappies

My almost 2 year old wets right through two or three nappies each night. Hes a really good sleeper so doesn't wake up but if I don't wake in time the cot sheets are soaked through along with his vest and PJ bottoms. I've tried asda, pampers and lidl nappies. Does anyone have any tips to share? The extra washing is getting me down.

Size up?

No vest either, might be squashing the nappy

My daughter, luckily, doesn't leak at night so I've no first hand experience, but I've heard people putting a cloth nappy over a disposable one, this seems to work. Have you considered this?

We had reusable mats and then waterproof sheets and then a large sheet of plastic covered by a towel on the bed to save the bottom sheet and mattress but both ds1 and ds3 were wet at night until well over 8yrs - the washing was horrendous. As they got older the proper night time nappies were better but very expensive and not perfect. I never found a good solution - sorry! Thank goodness ds2 was dry at night at 3!

Have you tried nappy pants rather than nappies? We found the nappies were leaking through the side but the nappy pants don't do that and go quite far up the tummy and we've not had a leak since moving to these.

Have you got the + in their size? Same sixmze but more absorbent

I've tried the +size and sizing up. Cloth nappy over the top might be worth a go. Thanks everyone

What about the age 3-5 huggies dry nites? Maybe with a vest to hold in place.

I’d ditch the vest or try a vest extender to ensure the nappy isn’t being squashed.

What part is he leaking from? Is it coming out above the waist? My DS used to pee up and over the edge where there was less absorbency. We put a Tena Lady horizontally across inside the nappy waist band which really helped.
