7 month old gone off milk

My 7 month old has had a cold this past week, but it’s eased up considerably now. First day or so was a struggle getting milk down him as he had a blocked nose, but he would still wolf down any solids I gave him and drink water from a cup. We found he was better taking his night bottle and early hours feed than any other time, after a good saline spray up the nose!

Anyway, he’s pretty much back to normal now, just a bit sniffly at time’s but he is off his milk. He has always been a small-ish baby (10th centile) but has recently shot up to the 30th, I am assuming because he LOVED his food. Until last week he was having 7oz every 3/4 hours AND 3 meals a day, and he’s now at a push letting us get his 20oz daily + solids.

I know the required amount for his vitamin needs is 20oz but is it normal for him to be off it like this? This morning he was completely uninterested in his bottle so I used the formula to make a rather large portion of porridge and he devoured the lot.

I’m wondering if it’s still his nose bothering him or if he’s just decided he prefers solids now? If he’s usually getting his 20oz in 24 hours but not always, should I start giving him vitamins, or wait and see if it picks up over the next week?

At 6mo dd refused milk breast and bottle. She still doesn't drink it now at 6years old. I made sure she had yogurt and cheese and cows milk in her cereal and that was it. I honestly tried but couldn't force her to have milk...she was very ready for solids and I did discuss it with HV.

Yes I think the HV recommended vitamins
