Transferring baby from my bed to cot

Just that really. My 8 week old has been co sleeping with me, but I would like to get my bed back and invite my husband back into it haha. I’ve got a next to me crib and I want to try baby in it tonight. He suffers from reflux but the cot can be lifted up on one side. The problem is he only seems to settle on his tummy. I know people advise against this but he’s very contented on his tummy. I want to try him on his back in a sleeping bag but my main question is how do you successfully do the transfer? Do I feed him until drowsy and put him in his bag or have the bag on him already during feed? Any tips on a successful transfer where he won’t be startled awake and we have to try all over again? I’m a FTM so sorry for all the questions! X

I'd have the bag on before feed and wait until he's in a deep sleep to transfer him (wait until his eyes have stopped flickering and he's stopped making cute faces). Then just incredibly slow and gentle movements, pick him back up to settle him in your arms if it doesn't work the first time then try again, patience is key :)
