Baby colds and sleep

When baby has a cold, do you just let them sleep as much as they want to? Usually we try to keep morning nap to an hour to make sure a big lunchtime sleep happens, but we're 90mins in and still no stirring here...

I would. When your ill, generally the best way to recover is to sleep it off.

I think it's OK because the body needs strength to fight the virus, especially at the beginning. Our body needs to repair itself. Sleep helps to boost the immune system, so she will fight the virus more effectively. Just be close to her and everything will be OK :)

My 6.5month old has a stinking cold at the moment. Yesterday he had a solid 4 hour nap midday, slept really well (for him) at night and today has woken up a lot better.

Let them sleep!
