9 week old sleep pattern

I have a lovely healthy 9 week old boy who is bottle fed. We had to wake him for feeds every 4h at the start because he lost a lot of weight but recently I've noticed that he is incapable of sleeping back 3.30am. Now I'm not complaining because he goes down at about 9.30 so he is definitely sleeping for a good stretch but I was just wondering how others have gone about encouraging them to sleep longer. On top of that, he wakes between 6.30-7.00 but doesn't want to feed, he's just "up" for the day then conks out for a nap at about 8. Any advice would be great! Thanks

He’s 9 weeks old, one wake up a night is amazingly good! Dd was still up every 1-2 hours at that age.

Baby sleep isn’t linear - they might sleep well for a few weeks and then start waking every 2 hours for a few weeks. It’s all totally normal.

Ok good!! So it's def normal. I think I've made the mistake of comparing with friends' babies of a similar age. As I said, I'm over the moon at how he sleeps but just curious. Thanks!!

I have a 9 week old (breastfed) and he doesn't sleep for a long stretch at night, you are very lucky. He still naps and feeds in the evening and has 1.5 - 2 hours awake time usually 10pm - 12am and wakes 2/3 times during the night for feeds. He does wake up for the day at 7.30/8am then has his first nap an hour later. He's still so little we're just going with what he wants ( I doubt I could make him do anything else anyway).

We're going with what he wants too... I think that's the most important thing. You've really set my mind at ease 😊
