Eliminating dairy when breastfeeding for cmpa

I’m currently investigating whether my daughter has cmpa as she vomits a lot and health visitor isn’t convinced that it’s reflux.
I’m bf so am cutting dairy from my diet for 2-3 weeks to see if this improves things for her.
There a couple of things I’ve gone to buy and the ingredients don’t list milk but it says something like ‘may contain milk’ or ‘made in factory that also handles milk’
My question is should I cut those items out too? It’s only been a few days and I haven’t seen any improvement yet and wondering if that’s why?
My older son had cmpa but was bottle fed from 3 weeks and diagnosed at 4 weeks so this bit is all new to me!

I know this post is from years ago but I could have written it myself. Was it CMPA? I’ve just started cutting out dairy x

Not OP but DD has CMPA, I've been dairy free for 7 months now.

If you've cut out dairy (completely), you should start to see an improvement within a few days if it is that that's causing issues. The "up to four weeks" advice that floats around is nonsense. But I would also make sure you're not consuming soya too as the two often go hand in hand.

Thanks for your reply, I have cut out dairy fully for 2 days now but only just read about the soya today so will start that too as been having soy milk 🤦🏻‍♀️ off to buy some almond milk in the morning! X
