At 14 weeks the "routine" should be more free-flow and work around them. I would say only a very basic routine of hour-halfhour wakefullness at a time between each nap during the day and longer periods of rest at night without the playing etc. How long are they awake for at a time? If they are only sleeping 10 mins at a time they aren't getting a proper restorative rest, I'd definetely look up how their sleep works, it's both facinating and helpful to know imo. It works in 45 min cycles, first 10-20 mins are the light REM sleep, fluttering eyes inside eyelids, smiling etc. It sounds like your baby is having difficulty getting past this stage and into the deeper sleep, so they will probably need your help. With mine if she wakes again I take her on a little walk pacing back and forward and then she nods off very quickly again since shes already tired. Once in the deep sleep; slower, regulated and quieter breathing, harder to disturb, they sleep until the cycle ends and then either wake up or try and reenter light sleep again for another cycle. Sometimes they might wake again but just need help falling asleep again. Hope this helps!
