What does mummy have?

My DS is just starting to talk. So he gets told that Daddy has a willy. But what does mummy have? I'm looking for a word that isn't clinical or cutesy and can be said out loud in the supermarket. Help!

When I was small it was a 'tinky', but it has been pointed out to me that since the tellytubbies, that may not be such a good idea

when we were growing up my mum used tuppance or tuppy! so thats what i use with my little girl now

my ds 4.11 calls it 'mummies hairy triangle' he obviously picked it up from us, oops.

My DS is almost 2 and half and he refers to it as Mummy's "bits"! My friends who have daughters get them to call them their "twinkle" or "mini"

I always thought call it what it is, its a vagina. If u dont use the proper terms now when it means nothing to them it is more likely to be embarrasing when proper terms are used ie school. It isnt anything to be ashamed of we all have one so dont make them feel it is shameful by trying to cover it over with speacial names. As for them shouting it in a supermarket, so what i can gurantee u yr child will embarass u somehow anyway, whats the worst that will happen a couple of people may laugh. But two ways to try and prevent it, firstly u can either not make a big deal out of the word- kids are more likely to shout it out if they think it will be funny or embarass u, if they just think it is an ordinary word it is highly unlikely they will just come out with it and if they do dont make a big deal. Another way which only works with some children, but by explaining that they is certain things u dont do in public ie burp, fart, and talk of penis and vagina, again dont make a big deal of it just say it as fact, some thigs fine to do at home others are not. I think the younger the better to use proper terms as its easy rather than introducing proper terms later

A vulva. It covers the entire hairy triangle area, is more accurate than vagina, and it's a nicer word I think.

One of the very first words DS said was dog. He saw me naked one day and pointed at my vulva and said Mummy Dog!

i always call mine/dd's a 'minny' Quite polite/inoffensive. defo would not call it a vagina - unless I am planning on raising a doctor . ds has a dinkle
