Looking for a cheaper option...
Anyone tried these nappies? Which ones are better/would recommend?

Neither of the above but I loved the Lidl ones. They were the only one I found didn’t leak.

Lenny1987 · 29/09/2020 06:23

Definitely Aldi. I find they are better than the premium brands

DisgruntledPelican · 29/09/2020 06:25

Mamia nappies are excellent. Never used Asda, but Sainsburys and Tesco own brand are both very good as well.

I love Lidl nappies, whereas I think the Aldi ones are quite hard and must feel more uncomfortable for the baby.

How funny. I thought the exact opposite! I really rate the Aldi ones
Orangedaisy · 29/09/2020 06:40

It’s a couple of years ago now but I used both. Asda were softer than Aldi by my DDs tended to be in Aldi ones (and were fine in them) as Aldi was closer for us.

Aldi

Temple29 · 29/09/2020 06:50

Aldi nappies are brilliant, highly recommend

Disappointedkoala · 29/09/2020 07:02

We liked the Aldi ones best.

changednamealways · 29/09/2020 11:18

Asda are terrible, avoid at all costs x

HoneyBee03 · 29/09/2020 11:34

I've used own brand nappies from every supermarket and Asda have been the best. I actually found that Aldi were the worst! I was quite surprised after all the recommendations.

Stargirl2707 · 29/09/2020 12:45

Aldi premium are brilliant ☺️

arinah · 29/09/2020 18:52

I've never tried the aldi ones but I use the asda ones for DD and they do the job, I haven't had any leaking at all. I used the sainsburys ones for DS and they were also good quality as well.

Heyha · 29/09/2020 21:26

I was always an Aldi fan (the premium are lovely) but supplies went a bit hit and miss for a while here so had to switch to Asda and, although I didn't like their smaller nappies, their small pull-ups are really good. I found Morrisons ones awful though. DD is long and slender if that makes any difference

Geluksvogel · 29/09/2020 22:40

Aldi premium are excellent. Every baby is shaped differently but for DD they’ve worked a treat. No leaks.

Someone1987 · 29/09/2020 22:41

Me and my two sisters found Aldi ones the worst, they leaked.

Best ones are Lidl by far.

Bernardstolemywatch · 29/09/2020 22:41

Aldi until size 3 then they leaked loads.

TokenGinger · 30/09/2020 15:14

Aldi nappies were fantastic up until size 3. When we moved into 4/4+, they were awful. Leaked constantly. We switched to Lidl at this point which were much better.

Now we're in size 7 and in Pampers which are so bloody expensive. I didn't rate Pampers at size 1/2, they would leak. But seem to be much better in the bigger sizes.

In answer to your question, I think it depends what size you use. I have found different brands better for different sizes x

Bolshybun · 30/09/2020 20:50

Aldi 👍🏻 I found the Asda ones leaked. I guess each baby is different though.
Mine always got terrible nappy rash with pampers

Laaalaaaa · 30/09/2020 20:59

Depends on size. Never had any issues with Tesco. Now on size 4 and swear by Iidl, however I found Lidl size 3 terrible. Nothing wrong with Tesco size 4 - Lidl are just far cheaper with almost double the amount of nappies in the pack.

MoonDelay · 30/09/2020 21:05

We had used Asda ones for ages but had to stop buying because they started to give my daughter nappy rash out of the blue. Aldi ones were great until they subtly changed the design and they started leaking. We know use Morrisons Nutmeg pull ups for our 2 younger ones and have no complaints at all!

Posie192 · 30/09/2020 21:21

Have tried both Aldi normal and premium and they are both great especially the premium, found them much more absorbent than Asda nappies and have used them with my daughter 2 weeks old with no issues.

Jamhandprints · 30/09/2020 21:52

Aldi used to be good but the last two packs I got were terrible. Pull ups which leaked and nappies where the tabs broke off every single nappy in the pack! Ive never had a problem with asda, but theyre quite hard to get hold of these days.
