Close Pop Ins just seem really bulky - is it me?

I have a selection of reusable nappies and have been trying them all out with my 4 mo the old

I’m loving the tots bots and the selection of pocket nappies but just can’t seem to get a good fit with the close pop-ins

I’m wondering if it’s me though as reading online it seems they are very popular

They just seem to gap at the front with all the bulk no matter how tight I fit it

Yes they are more bulky than tots bots. On the flip side, I get 4 hours out of a close pop in and only 2 out of a tots bots, unless I use boosters in the tots bots and then they’re just as bulky!

I always seem to have a gap at the front at the top but it doesn’t seem to cause leaks?

A gap at the front is fine PP.

I found pop-ins were only really a good option after about 10 months. Before that I preferred pocket nappies. Maybe keep them and try again in a while. They are very absorbent which is fab

I've not used them personally so can't comment but a gap at the front is fine and normal, it closes up when they're sitting and opens when they're lying or standing

As long as they fit well around the legs, gaps at the top are fine.

Cloth nappies vary a lot in bulk, clothes cut for cloth are generally essential, but you might find the pop-ins just aren’t for you.

I found a lot of birth-to-potty nappies were too bulky til about 6 months. DD isnt a very heavy wetter so I never needed very bulky nappies.

Thanks! I won’t sell them yet and just add a few more pocket nappies for now

I’ve also seen bambino mio solo all in one nappies for sale in supermarkets and amazon. Are they similar to tots bots and worth a go?

Mio solos are microfibre and pro to compression leaks, toys bits are bamboo I think so better. I'd try and stick to natural fibres as they hold liquid better

Yes Mio Solos are one of the most well known but I wouldn’t buy them (I have some passed on) pockets with bamboo or hemp boosters a better option, and easier to dry/add extra inserts as needed. Mine are mostly TJs Reusables and Mama Koala. Join some Facebook cloth nappy groups if you’re on there.
