Hello! My 18 month old son will be having his first haircut next week, and I don't anticipate him keeping still AT ALL and will just pretty much refuse to have his hair cut (plus the added worry of the sharp scissors!!).... what are your first time haircut experiences with your little ones?

First time she was quite wriggly, so the hairdresser was snipping in and out quickly while I tried to hold her still.

Second time, she was so interested in the hairdresser she didn't move a muscle!

Overall, they are probably used to it, and they tend to get it done quickly!

I made sure she was facing the mirror and gave her a gingerbread to eat. Food and staring at herself were two of her favourites

DS has his first haircut this week. He spent the entire time screaming which was fun...the hairdresser said she was totally used to it and it was super quick. He was absolutely fine afterwards. No idea why he hated it so much but the hairdresser said boys often do hate it.

I've had my son have 3 cuts by the age of 18 months and each one he created a scene! I got him to sit on my lap where I held his head. We did have a few "phew" moments but he cried a lot. It's one of those things unfortunately for me and I have to deal with it for 15 mins and it's all over. He has to have his haircut because it grows really quickly into his eyes and during the summer months, it was bothering him a lot.

Not happened yet and he's 22mo. I so it when he's not looking Confused

Keep some of the ringlets!
