How to get my 17 months to sleep

I need some advice ladies. First of am I the only one who's 17 month old wakes up in the night crying? Also I'm not sure what else I can do. She used to wake up 5 times just a few months ago and now wakes up just 1 time. But that 1 time is accompanied with crying (even with her eyes closed). I usually have to go and console her before she falls back asleep again. (Sometime she doesn't go back to bed) until morning. Please is there anyone going through this and how did they handle this situation?

I think once a night is fine, my lo woke 8-10 times a night until I sleep trained and night weaned at the same times 18 months. She's 20 months now and it's just once or twice a night

I'm sure yours will grow out of it

Why is she waking? Hungry/thirsty? Nightmares?

How does she get to sleep at bedtime?

Sounds a little like a night terror and for many of us, once a night would be a dream (even now at 3.4yo, DS woke twice last night)
