5 month old has to be bounced!

My 5 month old boy loves being held up and bounced up and down. He won't just sit on my lap or in the pram unless it is moving. I have never seen a baby like him! He can be a bit sicky but don't think it is reflux as doesn't seem to be in pain. Anybody else have a baby like this?

Yes my son was, he loved his jumperoo

Yep, just used the carrier a lot to keep them bouncing. Much easier. Mine never wanted to lie down or sit down either, moving or not.

The jumperoo is the only thing he will tolerate at home for longer than ten minutes! Hoping once he can sit up more confidently he may play by himself for a short bit of time. Wishful thinking perhaps 😂

Once my son was walking he was the happiest baby alive lol! And still is now as a toddler but hasn't stopped bouncing yet (jumps when he's happy)

My baby was like this! We spent a lot of time bouncing her on a yoga ball..
She’s now ten months and is much happier because she can crawl around, she’s quite good at entertaining herself for a bit.

My ds2 was like this. If his pram stopped moving he would cry and he just liked to be moving around, He is 7 now and still has ants in his pants.

Oh god I’d totally blocked that part of DD’s babyhood out Grin I used to have to stand her on my knees and jump her up and down for what seemed like hours. And she was only happy in the bouncer if it was almost catapulting her out of it.

Ditto sling - had to be walking endlessly around the house, and would only sit in the pram if I rocked it back and forwards. I don’t think I sat still for 8 months 😂

The jumperoo saved my life. I think I cried the first time she used it and I could have a cup of tea without jiggling a baby constantly!

Thank you it is helpful to know am not alone. Everyone I know finds it so cute and amusing and I am just sat thinking it is so bloody exhausting!

My 7 1/2 month old, has never lay/sat still, she was never happy in her bouncer for more than 10 mins, if ever we sat with her she got annoyed and had to stand up so she was moving, she has now started pulling herself up and has to either constantly be walking round holding onto our hands (I’m sure I’m turning into a hunchback) or she’s whizzing round attacking my ankles in her baby walker! She literally doesn’t stop all day! She barely naps either! It’s exhausting! X
