Every baby is different but my seven month old wakes between 6.30 and 7
And has a bottle at 7.30 ish, 1.30ish and 7 at night
I give her breakfast at 10.30. And tea at around 5. I’m going to slowly introduce lunch instead of a bottle eventually but at the minute this works for us

She will sleep roughly about half nine ten ish and again at 2 ish but this can vary from day to day. Just remember everyone’s routine is different as long as it works for you that’s okay.

Hi @M2AL thank you for your reply, seems a lot of babies are down to 2 naps around 8 months however my boy is still on 3, problem is he wakes anytime between 04:30am and 5am every morning and goes to bed at 7pm so we have 14 hours in a day to fill so 2nd nap is always over quite early in the day. An earlier bedtime seems to result in an earlier wake (he seems to be a 10 hour boy hehe) his 3rd one is always really difficult to achieve unless we go out in the car, I guess I will carry on with that as I imagine he won't be having it forever 😂he's also on x4 bottles a day which I think is OK only just recently dropped from 5 and is doing well with solids :) xx

My lg is 7.5 months. Naps are a massive battle. General day is wake up 5-7am - milk,
but if we keep it dark will go back to sleep, breakfast 8.30ish, milk 11, nap. Lunch 12.30. Milk 3, nap. Dinner 5.30. Bath, bed and milk at 7.

Dexy2020 · 25/09/2020 07:45

@Hall84 thanks for replying we generally do:
Anytime Between 04:30 & 5- Get Up
5am- Bottle
06:45am- Breakfast
07:15/07:30- Nap (Anything from 35-75 minutes)
10:00- Bottle
11:00- Dinner
11:30ish- Nap (Anything from 35-75 minutes)
2pm- Bottle
3ish- Nap (30 mins)
5pm- Tea
7pm- Bed
Can't wait to get rid of that 3rd nap! And absolutely dreading the clocks going back in October 😂xx

Wow a 4.30 start, you're a stronger woman than I am! DD wakes up around 8.30, and naps 3 times during the day - 10am, 1pm and 5pm. Her naps can vary between half an hour and 2 hours. She BF to sleep each time. She's not really into her meals atm, but I do baby led weaning instead, so she'll eat what I'm eating with me. She then falls asleep for the night between 7-8pm and wakes up a couple of times in the night for milk.

@arinah thanks for replying 🥰 ooo that's sounds like a nice wake up :) 04:30 is a killer but I just make sure I'm asleep by 9pm 😂😂I am lucky in the respect that he will now sleep through till then I guess xx

Have you tried to extend the wake times your little one is up during the day. By looking at your schedule baby only seems to be awake around 2 hours between naps. My baby turned 7 months this week and we've just dropped a nap as of today. Up until today he would wake around 7 and do the following
Nap 1 after 2 hours awake time
Nap 2 after 2.15 hours awake time
Nap 3 after 2.30 hours awake time
Bedtime 2.45 after last nap

Today we have extended his awake time and plan to consolidate his 2.5/3 hour day time naps over 2 naps

I would try to extend babys awake time for now perhaps 15 minutes at a time until he gets used to it. I read that early wakings are a sign of needing to drop a nap

Hope that helps x

Wake at 8
Breastfeed
9:45 breakfast
10:45 small snack
12:00 lunch
1:00 nap for an hour - either feed to sleep or pushed in the buggy
3:45 small snack or cup of milk
5:30 dinner
6:15 bath
6:45 feed to sleep

Then about 3 feeds overnight

Shevs just turned 9 months

Dexy2020 · 25/09/2020 15:04

@Couldntthinkofausername24 thanks for your reply I've tried that today but it's resorted in 2 short naps so will need a 3rd 😂he woke at 04:40, nap at 07:25 for 35 mins, nap at 11:15 for 45 minutes so to get us through till bedtime he will be having one shortly :( xx
@Findahouse21 thank you for your reply, I wish my little boy could manage that long awake time but he gets a bit of a wingey grump 🥰 xx

@Dexy2020 how does he sleep at night? Do you feed in the night? Xx

Dexy2020 · 25/09/2020 15:20

@Couldntthinkofausername24 he sleeps really well 7pm till 04:30/5am usually, stopped night feeds, tried giving him a feed when he gets up but theres no resettling him back to sleep unfortunately xx

I don't know if you 'need' to change things as it were - with dd1 I was totally baby led, but with dd2 I have had to tweak her routine a bit to allow it to fit in with us as a family. If you do want to push getting rid of the last nap then just let him be a bit cranky for a couple of days - it won't kill him (meant nicely in case anyone thinks I'm being mean). Dd was an absolute mess for a few weeks as her naps were all over the show. I spent a rough 3/4 days keeping her awake until after lunch and now she's pretty content as she's settled into her new routine. As I say, if you're happy to go along with it, then I don't think it's a problem to have 3 naps, but you could probably move it along if you want to
