Can i ask a question about Ou studying!!

People that have studied with them before how do you personally study for assigments?

1. Read the whole text book,and complete assignments as required?

2)Read relevent text,and do relevant research just before the assignment?

I woudl love to say 1), but sadly due to time contraints it's usually 2)

I used to do 1), but that was before children came along.
