Nearly 6mo needing endless entertainment...

All in the title really... our DS (4) would happily sit in the bouncer or on the play mat or on our laps when he was this age, but our DD is miserable unless she is:

  • being walked in the baby carrier (proper walks, not round the house)
  • asleep
  • being sung to animatedly
  • (and in the last week or so) eating

How do you entertain your little ones?! She'll sit in the bouncer/walker thing for maybe 3 minutes. Look in the mirror or at books or eat toys for another couple. But in the main she is grumbling constantly and we are just always trying new things and getting exhausted.

When she's being interacted with she is v happy and smiley, loves her baths etc. But surely we can't be doing theatrical performances 10 hours a day...?! I think maybe she's just desperate to sit up unaided/crawl, but that feels a little way off.

Any tips much appreciated!!

This sounds like my 5mo. He's very high maintenance lol. Constantly needs attention and it's lovely to a certain extent but then it can be too much. He has recently taken a liking to his sensory foil blanket though and it gives me maybe 20mins of free time whilst he kicks about on it. Otherwise he's moaning for whoever is in the room to play with him. Other toys buy me 10 mins max.

I think some babies just need a lot more attention I'm afraid! No advice but you're not alone Smile
