Cough fear

I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice or help.

I do have post natal anxiety and am having counselling.

I put Dd into nursery last September two mornings a week and she caught every bug known to man repeatedly. We then had a holiday from hell with hospital and norovirus and then went sailing into February with tonsillitis, scarlet fever, tonsillitis and she coughed non stop Christmas to lockdown.

She is two next month. Eventually inhalers were prescribed and seemed to shift it.

I've been left quite broken by this.

Setting covid aside, colds and coughs are normal. How do I cope with this?

I didn't sleep last night as she coughed once at tea, most likely on her water. Today she has coughed twice. Coughing is normal, I know this.

Can somebody reassure me that sometimes it is just a cold and will pass in a short space of time. I think I've convinced myself that every bug will go on for weeks and I don't know how to calm myself down. It's only a matter of time before she gets a cold, what does a normal one even look like in a toddler?

Do they still eat? Is a a case of runny nose, tired and mild cough?

I just don't know what a sort of run of the mill bug will look like. Everything she has had has involved antibiotics, weeks of sleepless nights, etc etc.

Any tips at all would be much appreciated.
