Oral thrush and reflux in baby

I’m a first time mum to a 3 week old boy. I came off antibiotics earlier this week due to my stitches from labour becoming infected. From what I could see my little boy developed thrush from this as his tongue had a white coating on it. Doctor prescribed nystatin drops over the phone. Have been using these for a week but don’t believe it’s been helping. During this week my boy seems to have developed quite bad reflux. He is sick after almost every feed and it seems worse at night. He is sick and then wants to feed immediately after. He doesn’t settle at all which is making me a very tired and stressed mum. He usually has some naps throughout the day but this seems disturbed too. Could the thrush be causing the reflux? I’ve now been prescribed a gel to rub in his mouth to replace the drops. I just would love to hear from other mums who may have experienced this as I feel it’s one thing after another and I just want my boy back to how he was 😢
