7 yr old ds doesn't wear PJs to bed.

Would you insist that he wears PJs? He does wear his pants and if he is going around the house he will wear a robe/dressing gown.

I do not have a problem with this but my dh thinks he should wear PJs. I find this odd as my dh only wears pants to bed too.

What's the problem? Neither me nor dh wears anything in bed, because we're more comfortable like that. Why shouldn't your son do the same?

no, I wouldn't. he should be allowed to sleep in whatever he is comfy in.

I wouldn't be bothered my dd is 8 and hardly ever wears pjs, and hardly has her duvet on with she sleeps with a couple of fleece blankets. I don't minde as long as she is happy and sleeps well

i think it is ok my dd just wears a pj top, she likes to be fresh she would also have no duvet on, but does have a very low tog duvet, as i insist, our house is freezing but she hates to be hot

I'm not sure that dh really knows why he wants him to wear PJs. He said that he might get cold, but I said he would wake up if he was and we would deal with that then. Dh just kept saying he's only 7 and I don't know what to say to that.

I don't see a problem with this. I am actually waiting for the day ds says he wants to wear nothing, as we don't wear anything (though do if we go to visit family/friends!) At the moment ds wears PJS but insists on pants and socks too, even in summer!

Does he have ishoos about nakedness then?!

last night my dd was naked except for her Dora wellies. Tonight she may decide to adorn herself with her Lightnin' Mcqueen slippers and perhaps some knickers. It changes every evening but stark naked seems to be the fave and tahst fine by us, cracks me up when i go to tuck her in and see her in a baseball cap and little else

i sleep nakkid, as does ds1 who has done so for years, ds2 wears his boxers, ds3 and 4 wear pyjamas - dh wears pyjamas, t-shirt and as many extra clothes as he can find
If your ds goes to bed, and sleeps then I would say he should be allowed the choice - how would stop him from stripping off later anyway?

ds1 will only wear boxers and often get up in the morning to find that he has taken them off half way thru the night, ds2 loves his pjs think he takes after me.

I'm having issues with my 2 yr old who won't wear PJs or go under the covers. I worry that he'll get cold but we've switched the heating on and I guess he would wake up if cold so perhaps we should just let them get on with it. One less thing to be at loggerheads over is fine by me...
