OU Doing two 60 point courses at once

Is this doable?

I've just begun Approaching Literature which is level 2 and was thinking of starting Introducing Religions which is also level 2 in Feb. Last year I tried doing German with my level 3 course but had to drop out, but German needed a lot of time every day put into it, whereas with my other courses I didn't need to do study daily. Plus ds is in nursery now.

i studied 2 60 point level 2 courses at the same time a couple of years ago. can't remember what they were now but it was towards a literature degree.
i think it depends on your study style. i tended to ignore my books and cram the weekend before an assignment so i found it doable. but i bet if you actually want to do it in a sensible way it would be tough.
bear in mind that your assignments will likely be due in at around the same time each month.
good luck!

I overlapped two 60 pt courses. I did a level 1 course (DD100) starting October and then started a level 2 course (U205) in February.

I was glad when DD100 ended in May as it gave me more time to dedicate to U205 which was very involved and took up much more time than the avg 16 hrs per week. My TMAs were usually due in within a week of each other.

Tbh I don't think I will do it again with 2 60pt courses as I would have liked to concentrate on one thing at a time. I had to overlap though as it was the last presentation this year!

Saying that I finish U205 this month and begin L194 (30pts) November before starting U213 (60pts) in February, so I will probably be under pressure again next year, especially with 3 dcs, dh and a lame dog to look after

Good luck whatever you decide!

Workingclassscum I did two level two 60 point courses this year and found it a struggle to be honest but have completed one and have exam for the other in three days. Looking forward this year to one level 3 on its own. To be frank the two courses you are doing are two that I have done and I enjoyed both enormously, maybe the two of them together would have been good, but I did an English language course which was dreadful which may have made it hard work. Good luck with it I am sure you will manage.

I feel reassured then! Plus, I really want to feel like I'm getting somewhere as it's slow going!
