Can babies get allergies ? My girl gets rashes quite often they aren't on her skin very long though but it's mainly on her face neck and chest ?? We also have a dog so I wasn't sure if maybe she's allergic to him ? I've also read somewhere child don't develop allergies in their first year ?

Yep, many babies have food allergies from birth or soon afterwards.

@Laurenxoxo could it be sweat-related? My lo had (and still has sometimes) red spots around his neck front and back, and it was because he was sweating.

He also inherited my metal allergy and it is now almost gone (he could not use normal spoon, at 10m he is now ok with all cutlery).

Chances are, if your baby is BF especially, that he should be immune from the milk to many external issues. Unless it is itchy or looks too irritated I'd not worry too much.

My 9 week old breast fed baby was diagnosed with a dairy allergy.

Babies certainly can develop allergies under.

My son’s symptoms were screaming constantly from aged 4 weeks, breast refusal, awful cradle cap, red skin round his mouth and dry skin/eczema over his cheeks and arms.

Does your baby have any other symptoms that worry you?
