Lockdown birthday tips!

My dd turns 3 in October. She is desperate for a party, keeps mentioning it (I think she has got this from nursery) and I am feeling so guilty that we probably won’t be able to do it, especially with last night’s announcement.
So I just wondered anyone who has had a lockdown birthday for their dc, have you got any tips of how I could still make it fun?? First child so no experience with this. We don’t have any other young children in the family.
I know she is only 3 but feel so sad for her x

I haven't personally used them but this company offers a 15 minute zoom session with your choice of character, including dancing, storytelling and singing. Not sure whether 3 may be too young though

Sorry OP, I know how you’re feeling. My DD will be turning 4 in a couple of weeks and is desperate for a party and a cake with her friends. I haven’t broken it to her yet that it won’t be allowed, I’m not sure what I’m going to tell her.

Will you still be able to have 1 or 2 close friends round to do something with her? Play a bit of musical chairs and pass the parcel and eat some cake? Perhaps meet up somewhere like a playground so they are outside and parents can socially distance?

Hoping someone else comes along with some better ideas, personally I’m feeling pretty sh*t about not being able to get a little group of 5/6 kid in the garden (which was what we had planned)

Thank you for your replies. I know there are a lot worse things people are going through at the moment. I have even through a very shit time myself so I suppose for selfish reasons needed something to look forward to as well. It’s hard when they are so little and you can’t explain. If we had other children in the family I would just do something with them (keeping to 6 and outdoors). I only have one friend with a child and he is 7 months.
