Laundry. How much do you do?

There’s just me and my 12 year old son. I’m interested to know how many wash loads similar parents do per week. I feel 5 is the minimum but that seems excessive. Where am I going wrong?
Bedding changed every 9 days and 3 bath towels a week. Thank you!

Well, I live alone and most weeks I do four loads:

Bedding has to be two loads as the duvet cover, sheet and pillow cases don't all fit in together. They are all white so I can add any white clothes to one of those washes too.

Then a towel and flannel wash.

And a dark clothes wash.

I don't necessarily change the bed every week, some weeks I just do the sheet and pillow cases and leave the duvet cover an extra week.

And I don't launder regularly, so some weeks I do one or two loads, and some I do five. But on balance I reckon it works out at four a week.

Which seems excessive to me!
Though I suspect my wm has the smaller drum size.
