Vaccination with jaundice

Hi there,

Our daughter is almost 8 weeks and ready for her first round of vaccination. She has prolonged jaundice, we’ve done blood tests and everything came back ok. She’s alert, feeding well and has dirty & wet nappies.
My question is: can we go ahead with vaccination even though she still has a bit of jaundice? Anybody has this experience?

Thank you!

I would ask your GP. I'm assuming you're in the UK? Have you had your baby's 6 week check yet? GP wouldn't do our 8 week jabs until the 6 week check had been complete (surgery had to cancel 6 week check due to double booking, so ended up having to re-arrange it all). That would be the time to check.

No experience but if baby is well and all investigations are negative I would assume they will go ahead.
Definitely ask the GP though.

Yes you're absolutely fine. My ds had prolonged jaundice until 15wks old and had all vaccines on time, no ill effects.

I’m in the UK and due to coronavirus we’re going to have the 6 weeks check at 8 weeks....
