Hi, me and DH are really struggling with grandpa names as we need 4!! There's my parents and my DH's Dad and step-dad. They are adamant the names have to be different (not like grandpa Jim and Grandpa Mike🤦🏼‍♀️). Any help??

It's very simple really. Let each of them decide what they want to be called. If it's the same as one of the others, they can either argue it out between themselves or suck it up. Then they can come back and let you know what they've decided.

We just asked mil what she wanted to be called as there is more variety for grandmothers where we live. We just called fil grandad by default. My parents were already grandparents so they already had names.

My mother had a brief moment of saying mil should be called the same as her, as apparently it would be confusing otherwise Confused. We knocked that one on the head and told her it was mil's decision what she was called.

Let them choose then what they would like to be called
